A highly trained and well-regarded physiotherapist with over 30 years of experience working within the NHS, private sector and a variety of professional and local sports teams. Her reputation of a ‘hands-on manual therapy’ approach, is highly sort after.

Gill graduated from the Middlesex Hospital School of Physiotherapy, London in 1989, starting her career within the NHS and eventually specialising as a senior out-patient physiotherapist. She then undertook a full-time Master’s Degree titled “Neuro-musculoskeletal dysfunction” graduating from University College London in 1996 with an MSc in Physiotherapy. She also received a distinction for her research thesis investigating the effects of Colles Fractures (broken wrists), on range of movement and grip strength post-injury.

Following this extensive post-graduate training, she was appointed as the full-time Medical Team Leader and 1st Team Physiotherapist with Saracens Rugby Union club.

Gill has worked within the private sector at Bupa hospitals and it was there that she set up and led a substantial programme of Pilates classes, for patients and staff. Gill also undertook outpatient assessments & treatments and provided regular training for other physiotherapists.

In April 2003, Gill became self-employed establishing her own practice Physio23. She also set up and launched her Clinical Pilates classes following the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) approach, leading to the invitation to lecture and train other physiotherapists in the APPI approach throughout the UK. Her Pilates classes held locally continue to be a great success, running throughout the year.

Over time, Gill has become involved with working for medico-legal companies, undertaking assessments and treatments of patients following their involvement in road traffic collisions (RTC). She is now considered a specialist in treating these injuries.

Gill has also established contracts via intermediary medical companies treating employees from the University of Hertfordshire, Royal Mail, Hertfordshire Primary Care Trust, UK Power Network, HM Prison Service, to name but a few.

Priding herself on her manual “hands-on” approach with the treatment of all these musculoskeletal conditions, gaining excellent results without the use of electrical intervention, an approach that all patients, especially those with pacemakers, appreciate and welcome.

Gill was an honorary physiotherapist to the Great Britain Canoe Polo teams and has been involved with gymnastics clubs treating both gymnasts and coaches, continuing her personal interest within the sports sector.

Since 2013, Gill has become increasingly involved with the St. Colmcilles Gaelic Football Club in St Albans, as the physiotherapist for the club.

Gill is a member of Physio First (the Organisation supporting Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice formally OCPPP), a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP), a member of the Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP), a member of The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP), and a current member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
